NOTE
: There are 6-question no.6 is compulsory and carries 25 marks. From the remaining questions, you may attempt any three. Each of these questions carries 15 marks.
 

1.  

What are the attributes which a good system analyst must have ?  If you are invited by a school principal to help develop an information systems for career information and guidance for its school-leaving students, would you go about fact-finding?  Illustrate with some examples of choice of appropriate tools.

2.  

What are the ingredients that of into the making of a feasibility document?  Describe the relative importance of each of these in reading a final decision of whether to of ahead with a system development project.

3. (a) What is the maximum number of columns in a decision table which contains four statements each of which can be answered as YES or  NO ?
  (b) Describe the types of data dictionaries in used and their relative advantages.
4.   The concern about quality of Software is sometimes referred to as a 'software crisis'.  Elaborate on the meaning of the phrase and comment on the available approaches and practices to cope with the issue.

The overall implementation plan for a computerised information system has identified the following steps and estimated the time required for its implementation as follows:
